stationery + editorial design

Throughout the years I've had the privilege of working with many photographers and wedding planners in editorial and styled shoots. It's one of my favorite things to receive a mood board or idea from a fellow creative, and see many women come together to make something beautiful happen. It takes a small village to accomplish a styled shoot, so it's been such an honor to be the stationery/prop designer for some of these!

Below you can see some of my favorites through the years.

O + U Wedding Stationery and Signage

As a designer, naturally I saw my wedding day as the perfect opportunity to design allllllll of my favorite things. I love warm tones and organic elements, so with a November wedding I leaned into some of my favorite colors to create the stationery of my dreams.

Below you will see the wedding suite, which included handmade paper and vellum that I printed on (deckled edges are no joke to print with!). I ordered sage green envelopes from Etsy, then paired that with mustard yellows and burnt oranges. To this day, I love the color combination.

I also designed the table seating chart by heading to Lowe's and picking up acrylic pieces. I showed a sketch to one of the workers there, and they cut the pieces exactly how I wanted them, which is a great budget friendly hack. From there, I wrote all of the tables and names with a white paint pen. My dad hung it from the ceiling with fishing line to create this unique piece!

The last piece you'll see is the wedding program. Because there were some old friends and distant family members coming, I wanted to take the opportunity to share our story. Not everyone knew how Uriah and I met or how we began dating, so I loved this little detail to help everyone feel more a part of the day.

Special thanks to my friend and photographer Michela Watson for capturing one of the sweetest days of my life. You can find her work at michelawatson.com

I had the opportunity to create this wedding suite for Ahna's styled shoot, which included peachy tones, a vintage envelope insert, whimsical calligraphy, and a sweet wax seal. I can't take credit for the idea; it was all Ahna!
