Mosaic Collective

A mosaic is made of small glass pieces creating a beautiful masterpiece. Mosaic Collective is a fair trade shop that carries goods made by people around the world. They believe that with each purchase you can connect to the person who made the product. When you buy a product from Mosaic, you are part of someone’s journey and narratives come together. As individuals are being connected, their narratives are being made into one large, beautiful mosaic. Out of the broken pieces comes something wonderful.

PROJECT DETAILS

Jenn approached me in 2020 with a big and beautiful dream: open a fair trade shop in Lynchburg, Virginia. Nothing like this existed within the local market, so when Jenn saw the opportunity she took it. What started as an online shop is now a brick and mortar found on Main Street in Downtown Lynchburg. THE FINAL PRODUCT

For this project, Jenn wanted to play with the idea of mosaics. I developed quite a few mosaic patterns and the secondary icon is a mosaic tile with the “M” in the center. I also created their initial website, stickers, marketing collateral, business cards, brand value icons, and a brand guide.

Something that has made this project so special is that, even apart from designing the branding, Mosaic Collective is one of my absolute favorite stores to shop in Lynchburg. It’s beautiful, welcoming, and such a sweet spot in our downtown. Jenn is doing great things—go check out her shops and support this amazing entrepreneur!
