Project Goals

Create two book covers that are cohesive with the Every Woman a Theologian brand within a two-week timeline.

Understanding the Sacraments:

The first book was based on a series Phylicia has called Quick Theology. These are small books with the basics you need to know for all kinds of theology-related questions. I got to create the cover for Understanding the Sacraments, which includes an abstract take on communion (the cup and bread).

Gospel Ready:

The second book was written by Jonathan Whitcomb and is a great resource for parents with kids asking about baptism. For this book, I wanted to show the idea of baptism in an approachable way, considering it was for parents navigating a theological topic for children. I created a few different custom digital paintings for the cover, with this one being the final decision. We added a pop of yellow to tie in with Phylicia’s other products.
